Tama Janowitz

I love Tama Janowitz. A true master at layering and perfectly unmatched color theory. You may recognize Janowitz as the author of Slaves of New York, the iconic book turned movie featuring everyone from Bernadette Peters, Stanley Tucci, Steve Buscemi, and even Janowitz herself. You absolutely must watch if, like me, you love seeing glimpses of New York's past (they show Stephen Sprouse's old showroom!).

Rambling on, Janowitz has some of the best layering techniques I have ever seen. Her outfits take on different shapes, textures, and hues that feel so playful and smart. I can only hope to layer as beautifully as Tama Janowtiz.
